Hand-crafted Travel to Zambia

Zambia, a hidden gem in Southern Africa, invites travellers to experience its natural landscapes and thrilling wildlife adventures. The country’s crown jewel, the majestic Victoria Falls, known locally as “The Smoke that Thunders”, reaches its most awe-inspiring power during the rainy season, offering daring dips in the Devil’s Pool or breathtaking helicopter flight for a bird’s-eye view. Zambia is also renowned for its exceptional safari experiences, with South Luangwa National Park celebrated for its premier walking safaris that provide intimate encounters with the Big Five. Lower Zambezi National Park offers unique river-based activities such as canoeing and boat safaris, allowing for an up-close view of elephants and hippos along the Zambezi River. With the dry season being ideal for game viewing as animals gather around the remaining water sources, Zambia presents a year-round, authentic African adventure for nature and wildlife enthusiasts.

  • Explore Luangwa Valley through an immersive safari experience in the Nsefu Sector and enjoy exclusive game drives, see rare wildlife species, and witness stunning sunsets over the river.
  • Spot a variety of wildlife at Lower Zambezi and Kafue National Park in boat and walking safaris, where you can experience diverse landscapes and wildlife.
  • Visit the city of Lusaka, where you can explore local markets, enjoy cultural experiences at the Lusaka National Museum, and immerse yourself in the modern and traditional Zambian lifestyle.
  • Marvel the breathtaking Victoria Falls, one of the world’s largest and most spectacular waterfalls, take a thrilling bungee jump or a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River.
  • Experience guided game drives at Liuwa Plain National Park and see the open landscape and the impressive annual wildebeest migration, offering a unique spectacle.

Zambia is without doubt one of the more seasonal safari destinations within Africa, with large parts of the country inaccessible during the summer rains, although some camps do remain open. The “shoulder” seasons of April-June and November offer some of the best value safaris anywhere in Africa with amazing wildlife sightings on offer, whilst the peak season is as good as anywhere that the continent has to offer.
