Stay five nights at The Six Senses, set on its own private beach flanked by the Al Aajar Mountains and surrounded by the emerald waters of the Gulf of Oman. Explore the area either soaring in the sky on a microlight over Miam Beach or even paragliding, enjoying a birds eye view of the mountains. For those who prefer their feet firmly on the ground, hike to the ancient Omani villages, farms and heritage sites among the mountains of Dibba to come across some historic archaeological discoveries. Cool off snorkelling or scuba diving in Peninsula’s coral reefs whose plankton rich waters attract turtles, stingrays and even whale sharks from January-March. In the evenings, enjoy the Spa or learn how to prepare a Mezze or Arabic Grill with an Omani cooking class before choosing from a selection of spectacular locations to enjoy a gourmet dinner. We recommend the Wine Tower, with panoramic views of the Fjords.
Set out to explore the Oman Fjords on the Six Senses luxury Dhahab Dhow during the day. The Dhow will cruise north down the coastal fjords, sailing by spectacular rock formations, rugged mountains and small fishing villages like Lima, Haffa’s and Chana. The dhow can moor in secluded coves and isolated beaches, where guests can enjoy a gourmet lunch with your own personal onboard chef and dive into the crystal clear waters to spot tropical coloured fish. Alternatively, set out on a kayak to get up close to the coastal rocks and their unique flora and fauna. This landscape becomes even more other-wordly as the sun begins to set. Dolphins will play around the bow of the traditional sailing boat as guests enjoy canapés and sundowners watching the Omani Fjords light up with the sunset, before sailing back to the Six Senses Zighy Bay.
