Brazil Into the Wild, the Pantanal to the Amazon
Brazil’s great wetlands and rainforest unfold in very different ways on this 13 day journey, from the open waterways of the Pantanal to the dense forests of the Amazon. Start in the Pantanal, exploring on foot and horseback before following the Transpantaneira towards the north, where boat safaris along the Cuiabá River bring the chance to search for jaguars, giant otters and abundant birdlife. In Manaus, take time to explore the historic centre and witness the Meeting of the Waters before heading deeper into the rainforest. Canoe through the Anavilhanas Archipelago, visit an Indigenous community and explore forest waterways in search of monkeys, sloths and dolphins.
