The Mekong Route: Thailand & Laos 13 days
13 days
Thailand & Laos - Following the Mekong from North to South
Over 13 days, cross the Mekong from northern Thailand into Laos before returning to Bangkok and ending beside the Andaman Sea. Around Chiang Rai and the Golden Triangle, combine the White Temple with elephant encounters, a Thai cooking class and a longtail boat journey before travelling downstream towards Pakbeng. In Luang Prabang, explore the countryside by bicycle, visit Wat Long Khoun and Ban Chan, and experience a Baci ceremony in a local artist’s home before cooking with a local chef. Bangkok brings temples, street food and an evening of Muay Thai, while Khao Lak offers a slower finale, with time on the beach or in nearby Khao Sok National Park.
