Balearic Islands
The Balearic Islands off Spain’s east coast pack in a huge amount of variety for their size: Ibiza, Formentera, Mallorca and Menorca are all genuinely distinct destinations rather than variations on a theme. Ibiza alone contains multitudes, with its clubbing scene concentrated in the south while the north stays quiet, bohemian and largely undiscovered by comparison. Each island rewards a different kind of trip, so it is worth deciding what sort of holiday you actually want.
