Paris
Paris needs no introduction, but it rewards those who go beyond the obvious: the view from the Trocadéro across to the Eiffel Tower, a quiet hour in the Musée d’Orsay before the crowds arrive, or a long lunch in the Marais rather than a rushed one on the Champs-Élysées. As the capital of France, and arguably of European fashion, art and gastronomy, it changes character with the seasons but never loses its pull. Even after a dozen visits, it still finds something new to show you.
