Desert, Wildlife & Open Roads: A Namibian Adventure
A self-drive 13 day journey through Namibia brings together some of the country’s most varied experiences, from wildlife and conservation to desert scenery and time on the coast. After exploring the Central Highlands, head into Etosha National Park to learn about its environment and watch animals gathering at its waterholes. Damaraland brings desert-adapted elephant and giraffe, along with the chance to track rhino with the rangers protecting them. Further south, discover the rock art of Twyfelfontein and the easy-going restaurants and adventures of Swakopmund, before reaching Sossusvlei for sunrise over the dunes, Dead Vlei and a final flight above the desert.

DAYS 1-5
Central Highlands
Begin in Windhoek before setting off on your self-drive adventure through Namibia's Central Highlands and onwards to Etosha National Park. Track leopard or cheetah in the highlands, then explore Etosha's wildlife-rich grasslands, learning about its unique environment, conservation work and the animals drawn to its waterholes.
DAYS 6-7
Damaraland
Drive west to the striking landscapes of Damaraland, where towering red cliffs, deep valleys and desert plains provide a spectacular backdrop. Keep an eye out for desert-adapted elephant and giraffe before tracking desert rhinos on foot and by vehicle alongside the rangers who protect them.
DAYS 8-9
Swakopmund and Walvis Bay
Continue south towards the coastal town of Swakopmund, stopping at the ancient rock art sites of Twyfelfontein along the way. Spend time enjoying the town's charming atmosphere and excellent restaurants, before choosing from its many adventure experiences, from catamaran cruises and 4x4 trips to canoeing, quad biking and skydiving.
DAYS 10-13
Sossusvlei
Continue south through Namibia's striking landscapes to the iconic dunes of Sossusvlei, stopping at Solitaire along the way. Watch the sunrise over the towering red dunes, explore Dead Vlei and Sesriem Canyon, then take to the skies in a hot air balloon before driving back to Windhoek for your onward flight.
