Da Nang
Da Nang has grown fast into one of central Vietnam’s most useful bases, but it still has a proper city of its own to explore beyond the beach. Lantern-lit streets near the river fill with market stalls in the evening, and the street food scene, from banh mi carts to seafood grills, is among the best in the region. Most visitors use it as a gateway to Hoi An and Hue, though a night or two here on its own merits is time well spent.
