Other Atolls

Beyond the more established atolls near the capital, the Maldives is made up of dozens of remote atolls scattered across the Indian Ocean, each quieter than the last. These outer islands are known for excellent snorkelling and diving, with shallow, clear lagoons that suit families and honeymooners equally well. They take a little longer to reach, usually by seaplane, but reward the extra travel time with a genuinely quieter slice of the Maldives.
