Ranthambore
Ranthambore National Park in Rajasthan is one of India’s best places to see a Bengal tiger in the wild, its dry deciduous forest and old hunting lodges giving way to lakes where the animals come to drink. Leopards and sloth bears are here too, along with more than 300 recorded bird species, but it is the tigers that draw most visitors, tracked from open jeeps at dawn when the light and the chances of a sighting are both at their best.
