Matusadona National Park
Matusadona National Park sits on the southern shore of Lake Kariba, its wooded escarpment dropping down to floodplains that flood each year as the lake rises. Game viewing here works differently to elsewhere in Zimbabwe: boat safaris along the shoreline and drowned trees standing in shallow water are as much a feature as traditional game drives. Elephant and buffalo gather at the water’s edge in the dry season, and the park’s remoteness means very few other visitors.
