Hwange National Park
Hwange National Park was established in 1928 and is Zimbabwe’s largest, home to what is widely considered the biggest elephant population in Africa alongside more than 100 other mammal species and some 400 types of bird. The landscape shifts from Kalahari sand flats in the south to teak forest and hills in the north, and that range supports everything from buffalo, sable and roan antelope to lion, cheetah, leopard and wild dog. Waterhole hides here offer some of the best static game viewing in the region.
