Kafue National Park
Kafue National Park takes its name from the river that runs through it and is both the oldest and largest national park in Zambia, covering some 22,400 square kilometres, an area larger than Wales. It ranks as one of Africa’s biggest parks and supports more than 55 mammal species across habitats ranging from the Busanga Plains in the north to dense miombo woodland further south. Its sheer size means two visitors could have entirely different safaris within the same park.
