Murchison Falls National Park
Murchison Falls National Park takes its name from the point where the Nile forces itself through a gap barely seven metres wide before dropping 43 metres into the gorge below, among the most powerful waterfalls in the world by volume. Boat safaris up to the base of the falls pass hippo, crocodile and elephant along the banks, while game drives across the park’s savannah cover Uganda’s largest protected area. It combines naturally with chimpanzee tracking in nearby Budongo Forest.
