Selous Game Reserve

The Selous Game Reserve, in southern Tanzania, is one of the largest protected wildlife areas in Africa, its millions of acres of bush, woodland, hills and open grassland supporting one of the continent’s most significant animal populations. Boat safaris along the Rufiji River are a particular highlight, bringing you close to hippo and crocodile in a way vehicle game drives never quite manage. It remains far less visited than the northern circuit parks, which for many of our clients is exactly the appeal.
