Garden Route
South Africa’s Garden Route runs for around 204 kilometres between Mossel Bay and Storms River, and packs a striking amount of variety into a relatively short stretch. Beaches, forested national parks, whale-watching boat trips and some of the country’s best golf courses all sit within easy reach of one another, making it an easy region to explore by road at a gentle pace. It works particularly well as a self-drive addition to a Cape Town and safari itinerary, breaking up the journey with genuine outdoor adventure.
