Lewa Wildlife Conservancy
Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in northern Kenya has become one of Africa’s leading conservation success stories, credited with helping bring the black rhino back from the brink and now home to around 15% of Kenya’s rhino population. The conservancy’s model, blending tourism, wildlife protection and community development, has been recognised by UNESCO, and a stay here supports that work directly. Horse riding and walking safaris are both possible alongside game drives, giving Lewa a broader range of ways to experience the bush than many reserves.
