Laikipia Plateau

Laikipia occupies the eastern escarpment of Kenya’s Rift Valley, a high plateau divided into a patchwork of vast cattle ranches. Many of these were converted into private game reserves through partnerships with their owners, and the result is some of the most exclusive lodges in the remotest corners of the country. Wildlife here roams across working land rather than a fenced park, which gives Laikipia a different texture to the more familiar safari circuits.
