Experience the ultimate wildlife adventure to discover groups of gorillas thriving within the depths of the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and the natural marvels of the Maasai Mara, including the Big Five and the annual Great Wildebeest Migration.
Day 1 - 4: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Uganda
Day 4 - 8: Masai Mara, Kenya
Home to almost half of the world’s surviving mountain gorillas, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is, for many visitors to Uganda, the main event
After flying into Entebbe, you’ll be transferred to the Kihihi Airstrip for a quick and seamless journey into the national park, where you’ll spend three nights at Bwindi Lodge. Nestled amongst the forest, a stay here allows for total immersion into Ugandan life, and those looking for gorilla treks need only walk outside the lodge for the opportunity to see these incredible apes up close. With only a small stream separating you and the forest, the gorillas themselves often frequent the lodge and are often spotted wandering around the paths.
Some of the best-preserved savannah in Africa, the Mara is home to huge numbers of wildlife including the Big Five.
Catch an international flight via Entebbe to arrive in the Masai Mara for the Kenyan part of your trip. Here, you’ll spend four nights at Ngare Serian, a secluded camp perched right on the water’s edge and home to traditional bush activities. Take advantage of having a private vehicle, driver, and guide to increase your chances of spotting the Big Five after dawn and dusk. From July to October, witness the incredible wildlife spectacle of the Great Migration where hundreds of thousands of wildebeest migrate in search of better grazing.
