Chyulu Hills
The Chyulu Hills rise between Amboseli and Tsavo, a chain of young volcanic hills so recent in geological terms that they have never been fully surveyed. Cloud forest cloaks the upper slopes, feeding underground rivers that surface miles away as the crystal-clear springs of Mzima. Views from camps here take in Kilimanjaro across the plains, and the hills’ position between two major ecosystems means genuinely varied game viewing, from elephant to cheetah, without the crowds found in Kenya’s more established parks.
