DAYS 1-4
Majete Wildlife Reserve
Arrive in Lilongwe for a peaceful overnight stay before flying to Majete Wildlife Reserve. Explore the reserve by vehicle, spend time in viewing hides or visit local communities, while learning about its transformation from a landscape decimated by poaching into a genuine Big Five destination.
DAYS 5-6
Liwonde National Park
Continue to Liwonde National Park, Malawi's premier wildlife viewing destination on the banks of the Shire River. Enjoy excellent lion, rhino and elephant sightings on game drives, or explore the river by boat for a different perspective. Walking safaris offer the chance for close approaches to wildlife with skilled guides.
DAYS 7-10
Lake Malawi
Head to the shores of Lake Malawi, known as the Lake of the Stars, for a few days unwinding on its soft beaches and swimming in its crystal-clear waters. Try diving or snorkelling among its vivid cichlids, visit lakeshore villages and learn more about life in Malawi before returning to Lilongwe.
