DAYS 1-2
Nairobi
Land in Nairobi and settle into your hotel in a quiet suburb, before spending a day exploring the city. Enjoy its vibrant art and music scene, traditional craft markets and tea plantations, with visits to the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Centre for wildlife lovers.
DAYS 3-5
Maasai Mara Conservancies
Fly to the Maasai Mara, staying in a quieter camp on the northern boundary of the reserve for a more private safari experience. Drift over the plains at sunrise in a hot air balloon before a Champagne breakfast, then explore by game drive, spotting big cats and elephant herds, and visit a local Maasai village.
DAYS 6-8
Laikipia Plateau
Continue north to the breathtaking Laikipia Plateau, where the pace slows and wildlife experiences go beyond the traditional game drive. Explore on foot, swim in rivers or spend a night sleeping out in the bush, while learning about the region's rhino conservation projects, among the most respected in Africa, and their anti-poaching work.
DAYS 9-12
Lamu
End your adventure on the remote island of Lamu, where white-sand beaches, excellent seafood and the winding streets of historic Lamu Old Town invite a slower pace. Spend your final days exploring by boat, paddleboard or fishing trip before flying back to Nairobi for your journey home.
